Latest ratified figures show that over the last ten years concentrations of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and PM10 particulate matter in Scotland appear to have decreased significantly. In recent years however the decreasing trend for NO2 has slowed, and there is no discernable trend one way or the other for PM10. Concentrations of ground-level ozone appear to be increasing in both rural and urban areas of Scotland. For more details please see here.
