Updates to LAQM Tools

On Friday 20th June, the Air Quality in Scotland website was updated to include new versions of several LAQM tools. These include:

1. A new Emission Factor Toolkit (EFT v6.0). The EFT allows users to calculate road vehicle pollutant emission rates for NO_x, PM₁₀, PM_2.5 and hydrocarbons for a specified year, road type, vehicle speed and vehicle fleet composition. CO₂ emission rates can also be calculated for petrol and diesel fuelled vehicles. The latest version uses updated NO_x and PM vehicle emission factor – speed equations (COPERT 4v10) and fleet composition data.
2. New background maps based on 2011 with projections from 2011 to 2030.
3. An updated version of the NO_x-NO₂ Calculator (v4.1).
