The Annual Scottish Air Quality Database and Website Annual Seminar on Tuesday 17 March 2026 in Glasgow. In total there were 10 presentations with speakers presenting on a variety of air quality related subjects. These subjects included; Improving Glasgow’s Air Quality – A Success Story (Dom Callaghan, Glasgow City Council); Implementing 3 cities Low Emission Zone’s – The Journey so far ( Shauna Clarke, CEC, Jamie Landwehr, DCC & Tony Maric, ACC); The Irish EPA Network and the implementation of the EU regulations (Niamh Connolly, Irish EPA); LAQM Support Contract and its application across Scotland (Hannah Broomfield, Bureau Veritas); A New Measurement Technique for Quantifying Vehicle Emissions and Concentration Source Apportionment (Professor David Carslaw, University of York); Nitrosamine assessment methodology; implications for planning and permitting (Dr Rachel Whitty, WSP); Innovative International Modelling work (Dr Scott Hamilton, Ricardo); Differentials in Air Pollution Exposure Across Communities and Regions in the UK (Prof. Jo Barnes, University of the West of England); Translating Air Quality Research into Better Children's Health (Dr. Abigail Whitehouse, Senior Clinical Lecturer in Children’s Environmental Health, Queen Mary University of London); and The Arctic Challenge (Toby Gregory, The Arctic Challenge).
